Toedeloe, the formation behind singer-songwriter Kevin Somers, brings modest and melancholic acoustic songs. After years of making music and performing together, Kevin and his brother Johan, decided to enter the studio in 2017 and record a selection of their work for their first studio album. 20 songs were chosen from their 11 previous musical projects and "Ceci n'est pas..." saw the light of day. For their second and third album Kevin decided to record the new songs with the help of Johan Somers on guitar and bass, Ilja De Neve on piano and organ and Tom Volckaerts on drums. Making “Another day in the sun”  and " Foresight 50/50" sound surprisingly different, without losing the sound and themes of Toedeloe. 

In march of 2025 we are returning into the studio to record one of the previous musical projects in its entirety. We are eager to find out how the songs will benifit from the professional recording and the cotributions of the added musicians. With any luck this is the birth of a "Revisited" series. First up is the project called "Polaroid People". This is a project from 2002, a completely different time...  

Toedeloe entertains the audience with emotionally charged songs about love and sorrow, to rousing songs about social issues and concerns.

Na jaren samen muziek te maken en op te treden, besloten Kevin en zijn broer Johan, om in 2017 de studio in te duiken en een selectie van hun werk in een album te gieten. Uit de 11 voorgaande muzikale projecten werden 20 liedjes gekozen en "Ceci n'est pas..." zag het daglicht. Voor hun tweede album  en derde album besloot Kevin om de nieuwe nummers op te nemen met de hulp van Johan Somers op gitaar en bas, Ilja De Neve op piano en orgel en Tom Volckaerts op drum. “Another day in the sun” en "Foresight 50/50" klinken hierdoor verassend anders, zonder de klank en de thema’s van Toedeloe te verliezen.

In maart 2025 duiken we opnieuw de studio in. Ditmaal om één van de vorige muzikale project volledig op te nemen. We zijn zeer benieuwd om te horen hoe deze oude liedjes gaan klinken met al de muzikanten van de Toedeloe XL formatie in een studio setting... Met wat geluk is dit het begin van een hele "Revisited" serie. Het eerste project dat we onder handen nemen is "Polaroid People". Een projectje uit 2002. Volledig andere tijden...

Toedeloe onderhoudt het publiek met emotioneel geladen songs over liefde en verdriet, tot opzwepende nummers over maatschappelijke kwesties en bekommernissen.
